Default HOW TO BE HAPPY?

CAN ANYBODY THERE TELL HOW TO BE HAPPY, WHERE MOST OF THE MEMBERS OF THIS SAI AANGAN ARE EXPECTED TO KNOW THAT ACHIEVEMENT OF WORDLY THINGS DOES NOT BRING IT.

ANY SUGGESTION??

Sai Ram,

Some time back I learnt a very nice theory.. If you realy think about it , it will make lots of sense


This is how it goes …(excerpted from Habit 1: Be Proactive, in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, by Stephen R. Covey)

We each have a wide range of concerns - our health, our family, problems at work etc., and it is these things that make up our ‘Circle of Concern’. As we look at the things within our Circle of Concern, it becomes apparent that there are some things over which we have no real control and others that we can do something about. We can group the things we can do something about within a ‘Circle of Influence’. The two circles are shown below:

The Circle of Concern is filled with the have’s:

‘If only I had a more patient spouse…’

‘If only I had better employees/co-workers…’

‘If only I had a boss who wasn’t so demanding…’

The Circle of Influence is filled with the be’s:

‘I can be more patient…’

‘I can be a better employee…’

‘I can be more wise…’

Effective people focus their efforts in their Circle of Influence and do not get stressed or waste time on the things within their Circle of Concern. They work on the things they can do something about and the nature of their energy is positive and enlarging. There are things (like the weather) that our Circle of Influence will never include. We can’t change the weather, but we can create and carry our own physical or social weather with us. We must accept the things that at the present we can’t control and focus our efforts on the things that we can.

The Circle of Influence grows and shrinks. The more you work within your Circle of Influence the larger it will become and you will be become more effective as a result. The opposite is also true. Focusing on your Circle of Concern can shrink your Circle of Influence and therefore your ability to change things for the better.

So guys to be happy

* Dont work on things that lie outside your influence

* Put all your energies on things inside circle of influence and try to increase it

* Identify what lies inside circle of influence and what inside circle of concern

Try this for 30 days and trust me you will feel the difference

Thanx… i was disturbed since morning from my increased circle of concern, it happens to me sometime. I can’t say that you erased it completely but still i am better than before after reading this article.

Nothing can disturb your peace of mind until your own royal self, your conscious allows that.

Even no one can harm you until you become weak & give up.

Unhappiness is always our own choice, on the contrary we can make it our decision to be happy ........ that is all it requires to be happy.

And the keyword is "To accept, as is"

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect, it means you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.

For happy living follow the two rules- Be able to experience anything; and cause only those things which others are able to experience easily.

[size=3]Are you truly happy?Do you even know what it means to be happy and what it takes to achieve happiness? These are important questions for anyone who is seeking happiness to ask themselves. I live my life to maintain my own happiness while trying my best to not cause unhappiness to anyone else. If you want to be happy you need to understand that you can be happy and that you should be happy. Many people make the mistake of believing that they don’t deserve happiness and accept their unhappy state as their destiny. The truth of the matter is that happiness, like anything else in life, needs to be nurtured. The following are a few tips that I follow to create happiness in my life.

1.Understand what it is that will make you happy. Everyone has unique requirements for attaining happiness and what makes one person happy may be very different from what makes someone else happy. Revel in your individuality and do not worry about whether or not your desires are comparable to those of your peers.

2.Make a plan for attaining goals that you believe will make you happy. Your mood will very likely increase as your pursue your goal because you will feel better about yourself for going after something you value.

3.Surround yourself with happy people. It is easy to begin to think negatively when you are surrounded by people who think that way. Conversely, if you are around people who are happy their emotional state will be infectious.

4.When something goes wrong try to figure out a solution instead of wallowing in self pity. Truly happy people don’t allow set backs to affect their mood because they know that with a little thought they can turn the circumstances back to their favor.

5.Spend a few minutes each day thinking about the things that make you happy. These few minutes will give you the opportunity to focus on the positive things in your life and will lead you to continued happiness.

6.It’s also important to take some time each day to do something nice for yourself. Whether you treat yourself to lunch, take a long, relaxing bath or simply spend a few extra minutes on your appearance you will be subconsciously putting yourself in a better mood.

7.Finding the humor in situations can also lead to happiness. While there are times that require you to be serious, when it is appropriate, find a way to make light of a situation that would otherwise make you unhappy.

8.Maintaining your health is another way to achieve happiness. Being overweight or not eating nutritious foods can have a negative effect on your mood. Additionally, exercise has been known to release endorphins that give you a feeling of happiness.

9.Finally, it is important to understand that you deserve happiness. Those who believe that they are not worthy of happiness may subconsciously sabotage their efforts to achieve happiness. If necessary, tell yourself each day that you deserve to be happy and remind yourself what steps you will take to achieve the happiness you desire.

Happiness is hard to define but most people are aware of whether they are happy or not. Many people believe that happiness is a form of luck and that some people are destined to be happy while others are destined to be unhappy. I try to incorporate the tips above into my life and have had great success in achieving happiness. The tips in this article are small but meaningful steps that you can take each day to lead you to true happiness.

most important things to live a happy life are.....1. Make each new day count by helping someone or just making someone smile.
2. Don't dwell on life's troubles, think of the good times.
3. Don't worry about things you can't do anything about.

IF YOU THINK YOU ARE HAPPY THEN YOU ARE. IF YOU THINK YOU ARE NOT HAPPY THEN YOU ARE NOT.

Happiness is not something which is related to our body. It has a deep connection with our mind and soul. Happiness is not there in money, fame or status. Though these things do serve our needs but not our greed. So its better to acquire material things for our needs. Happiness is not a commodity which can be bought, it automatically comes when you help a helpless person, when you think for others, when you do the deeds which are morally correct, When you really become spiritual by purifying yourself. When each day you correct yourself morally by introspecting yourself for trivial and small deeds. Do give it a try by practicing these things and I am sure you will find happiness within your own self.

if you want to be happy

at home
respect & love your elders & take care of your youngers no matter if there is a problem there handle it with patience

at work
do your work as fun not burden

at anywhere else
donot compare yourself to any one

i read it somewhere that comparing yourself to someone else is same as insulting yourself & your self esteem
