Default HOW TO BE HAPPY?

Om Sai Ram!!!

Tail of Happiness

Once there was this kitten that was chasing its tail. It just chased it and chased. An older wiser cat came along and he watched this kitten. The cat watched the kitten for a long time. Then he asked the kitten, "Kitten, why do you chase your tail?" The kitten replied, "Because I will find happiness in my tail." The old cat watched for a time longer then he said, "I, too, use to chase my tail because I thought I would find happiness there. But I realized that I didn't need to chase my tail for wherever I went it seemed to follow." And the old cat got up and walked away with his tail whishing behind. He already knew happiness followed wherever he went, he only had to accept its presence.

Don't chase happiness, its always near...

Om Sai Ram!!!

How to live a Happy and Rewarding Life~~~

Watch Butterflies or Birds.
Be grateful for good health.
Don't interrupt.
Take a nap on Sunday afternoon.
Never deprive someone of hope.
Be thankful for every meal.
Never be afraid to say, "I'm Sorry."
Improve your performance by improving your attitude.
Wave at children on the school bus.
Leave everything a little better than when you found it.
Take time to smell the roses.
Don't tailgate.
Keep it simple.
Enjoy good company.
Keep your promises.
Listen to your children.
Be kinder than necessary.
Take good care of those you love.
Make it a habit to do nice things for people who never find out.
Judge your success by the degree that you enjoy peace and good health.
Be a good loser.
Be a better winner.
Be romantic.
Live so that when your children think of fairness, caring and integrity, they think of you.
Enjoy real maple syrup.
Never refuse homemade brownies.
Remember other people's birthdays.
Sing in the shower.
Resist gossip.
Don't nag.
Don't expect that money will bring you happiness.
Say "THANK YOU" a lot.
Take care of your reputation; it is your most valuable asset.
Slow dance.
Don't rain on other people's parade.
Don't postpone joy.
Whistle.
Call your mother.
Do more than what is expected of you.
Be someone's hero.
Count your blessings...daily.
Enjoy a sunrise, sunset.

Default HOW TO BE HAPPY?

WAY TO HAPPINESS

Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry.
Live simply, expect little, give much.
Fill your life with love.
Scatter sunshine.
Forget self, think of others.
Do as you would be done by.

It is the way to happiness. Try this for a week and you will be surprised.

Default HOW TO BE HAPPY?

Recipe of Happiness:

Take a couple of whole months, clean them thoroughly of all Bitterness,
Rumours, Hate and Jealousy; in other words,
make them as fresh and as clean as possible.
Now cut each month into 28, 30 or 31 different parts...
But don't make up the whole batch at once..
Instead prepare it One Day at a Time.

Mix well each day:
One part of Faith,
One of Patience,
One of Courage,
One of Work,

Add one part each of:
Hope,
Faithfulness,
Generosity
Kindness;

Blend with:
One part Prayer,
One part Meditation
Good Deeds.

Season the whole with:
a dash of Good Spirit,
a sprinkle of Fun,
a pinch of Play
a cupful of Good Humour.

Pour all of this into a Vessel Of Love,
Cook thoroughly over Radiant Joy
Garnish with Smiles
Serve with Quietness, Unselfishness and Cheerfulness

And you are bound to have a Happy Life.

Keep smiling...

Default Re: HOW TO BE HAPPY?

Finding happiness is like finding yourself. You don't find happiness, you make happiness. You choose happiness. Self-realisation is a proces of discovering who you are, who you want to be and paving the way to happiness by doing what brings YOU the most meaning and contentment to your life over the long run.

There is no better time than RIGHT NOW to be happy.

Happiness is a JOURNEY, not a destination.

Om Sai Ram!!!

Key to Happiness~~~

Is there a way to quantify faith? What constitutes a successful dose of patience? Some endure a hardship for several years, yet call themselves fortunate. Some seem to have a short stint with time and profess to have waited patiently! Wisdom, whether through Bhakthi or Jnana should impart the ability to discriminate. Discrimination between things of transient nature and that are permanent should lead to detachment. Spirituality may not be about quantifiable material gains and losses that one accomplishes with the help of Sadguru. It may also not be about extending the benefits that are only perishable. On the other hand, it may be about a total personal transformation that should take place every minute, while at sleep or awake. The effort has to come from within oneself and the external factors may be the means to accomplish them.

On several occasions, Baba said out of love for His devotees - "What (whether good or bad) is ours, is with us, and what is anther's is with him." - Ch. XLV, Shri Sai Satcharitra. Some of the simplest expressions of Baba seem to have the message of greatest importance. A moment of contemplation on such comments might have the most profound effects on what we perceive as pain or pleasure. By the above statement, Sadguru Sainath has endorsed the thought that our actions precede our fruits, the consequences. He also several times advised that one have to endure the consequences of his past Karma. Devotees also have seen how Sainath comes to their rescue if the faith is earnest and the patience is complete. The patience is complete if the faith is earnest. He is the helmsman and His boundless coffers are open.

Default Re: HOW TO BE HAPPY?

OM SAINATHAYA NAMAH:

In life, we must be as the petals on the buds of a thousand flowers. It is only through nurturing and caring can the bud of a flower come to be in the first place. One cannot force the bud to grow faster. If you force the bud to open before its time, the flower will suffer and die. Nurturing, caring and loving are important, as important as the virtue of Patience. If you peel the immature petals apart, you notice how soft and vulnerable the inside was. It was simply unready to blossom.

Patience is calm, neither expects, nor becomes disappointed if the result differs from the desired outcome.

In our own lives we are so impatient for everything. We are especially impatient to find love, hoping and wishing to end our isolation and loneliness. Alas, isolation and loneliness exist prevalently within relationships too!

Our personal isolation can only be resolved within ourselves. Yet we stop ourselves from experiencing wholeness by being constantly stuck in the mindset of giving power to the small part of ourselves; the mind that tells us that unless we constantly search we will never find the one we are meant to be with. We believe that “the one” will slip away undetected.

We distrust the universe and its ways. We attempt to force it, make it bend to our ways. Instead we destroy flower bud after flower bud of our own potential, sabotaging every flower that could achieve a full blossom.

If we could only stop forcing the petals apart.

What does it take in our own lives to stop the harmful cycles that keep us dizzy, lost and confused? We keep ourselves numbed by our work, but our casual use of alcohol and drugs, by our abuse of sex and intimacy. We long to feel deeply, yet we actively numb the feelings we don’t want to feel or face.

Can we dream of the possibility of choosing to be patient, to allow Life to take its course, without sabotaging ourselves through the dizziness of constant searching?

Can we dream of a reality where we can allow difficult feelings to arise, feeling them and facing them without numbing our bodies and minds to avoid them?

Is it possible to stop using sex to avoid real contact, real connection?

All of these are possible if we can come out of our small senses of ourselves. This small sense of self that believes its only way of surviving is to continue spinning madly in circles, continuing painful cycles of self-destruction.

The truth is that we are whole and complete, just as we are. If we would only take a deep breathe and feel the gravity and truth of our implicit wholeness.

You are complete and whole, just as you are. In your life, choose to nurture and care for your garden. Choose to be patient and allow flower buds to grow and to blossom in their own time. Choose to not be dejected when things don’t happen the way you want them to. Your dejection only shows you how attached you were to an expected outcome. The world and the universe existed millenia before humans arrived and will continue for millenia after always following the principles of nature. Nature, the universe and your life are the same. They are an unfolding.

Allow the petals of your life to unfold naturally, and your life will be filled with many beautiful blooms!

Om Sai Ram!!!

Happiness Is... taking in all the wonders of life -- its joys, its sunshine, its smiles -- learning from the experiences each one brings you, and then, from a caring heart, giving them all away again.
